This purchase was a gift for a 25 year old who collects sock monkeys. She was very pleased and loved the alarm sound.

I ADORE Sock Monkeys and this Sock Monkey clock is cute, adorable and endearing. And, because of the lack of product information and high item price, I bought it thinking it was made of metal, with a durable hard glass face cover--old timey. Not so, even the face cover is made of light, cheap plastic. The only metal part is the bell. This clock will probably not last long, if given to a curious child. Or if dropped. I would not have purchased this clock had the add clearly stated that only the bell is made of metal. Too bad, because I would have bought several were the clocks made of metal, with a glass face plate. I did receive a refund from wonderful amazon.com.
